On Wednesday for approx. 20 min, we work on a weekly art project. Example: making invitations for Friday’s show or creating a circus or ballerina cut out/print out. Kids can also work on this as homework. We do a “show and tell” with their classmates showing off the finished product!
-Monday’s students who attended the previous week will create their own short dance / gymnastics or circus sequence / choreography and show the class as a introduction and ice-breaker.
-This “homework” will be given on the Friday before to complete over the weekend.
-Every student will receive an online sticker at the end of the day as apart of our sticker chart system. At the end of the 7 week camp whoever has the most attendance will receive a special gift.
-Every camper will receive a certificate via email every Friday after the recital.
Weekly Themes and A / B weeks
A and B weeks will alternate - starting with A for the first week (July 6)
Below are weekly themes from past Circus Camps that we will incorporate for inspiration and Friday show suggestions:
Alice in Wonderland
Wild Wild West
Sea Side Circus
New York New York! Start Spreading the News!
SAFETY AT HOME:
Please make room at your home by pushing table (edges) aside if necessary.
Look out for obstacles that you could bump or fall into.
Only do the skills suggested by your teacher.
For more advanced classes: A Yoga mat is great but not a substitute for a gymnastics mat - Remind your children to only do the skills the teacher is doing.
